Conference Staff
The staff of the Women On the Move Retreat and Conference is a collection of women who have dedicated themselves to helping people achieve their goals. Whether you are running or walking, training for a 5K or a marathon, or just beginning a training program, they will share their experiences and expertise with you to help you achieve your goals.

Featuring Kathrine Switzer
Kathrine Switzer, running pioneer, has completed 35 marathons. Her most famous was Boston 1967 when she entered as “K.V. Switzer” and became the first woman wearing a number to run the traditionally all-male race. Irate race official Jock Semple tried to forcibly remove her from the race. Their encounter was captured in photos that appeared worldwide, and the incident become a watershed moment in the women’s running movement. Today, Kathrine is an Emmy award-winning TV commentator, motivational speaker, and author. Her latest book is Marathon Woman.

Elaine Doll-Dunn
Elaine Doll-Dunn, Psy. D., is a reader, writer, runner, and educator. She began running at age 40 and is now an addicted marathoner with 112 marathons on her resume. Elaine is currently a middle school counselor and gets her teaching fix by training women to run her Leading Ladies’ Marathon. The role of race director holds the dubious distinction of being her toughest challenge to date.

Lori Buksar
Lori Buksar is a marathon race walker and coach of marathon walking for the Arthritis Foundation. She has walked 7 marathons. Lori is a two-time National Masters 20K age-group walking champion. For the past 20 years, Lori has worked as an operating room and emergency room nurse.

Chris Childers
Chris Childers is wife, mother of four, physician, three-time All American in college track and field, and avid runner. Running for over 25 years, she continues to run and help others achieve their running and fitness goals by designing personal training plans.

Mary Coordt
Mary Coordt, a nutrition professor and speaker, teaches college nutrition courses and presents seminars to athletes. She became a competitive runner ten years ago when she discovered her passion for the marathon and has since run over 30 marathons. Mary has won the Napa Valley Marathon, the Big Sur Marathon, and participated in the 2000, 2004, and 2008 US Olympic Marathon Trials.

Rhonda Provost
Rhonda Provost was the first woman to attempt and complete the Death Valley/Mount Whitney double-crossing. A nurse anesthetist in Santa Rosa, California, Rhonda regularly spends her spring vacation in her hometown of Boston to run its famed marathon. She serves as medical coordinator for the Napa Valley Marathon and medical team captain at Red Star Ridge on the Western States 100 course.

Jan Seeley
Jan Seeleyconference & retreat director, is the publisher of Marathon & Beyond, a bimonthly magazine for long-distance runners. A runner since 1974, Jan was also a 4-year member of the US National Field Hockey squad. Jan has 20+ years experience as an event director. She lives in Champaign, Illinois, with her husband, Joe, and two sons.

Jenny Stinson
Jenny Stinson, assistant retreat director, ran her first marathon in 1996 and has since run 14 marathons and one ultramarathon. For 6 years, Jenny coached the Chicago Arthritis Foundation Joints in Motion marathon training team. A partner in a medical marketing company, Jenny is a graphic designer and divides her time between her offices in Chicago, Illinois, and Boise, Idaho.
